New York Best Places to Work

Rusk Renovations named as a Crain's New York Best Places to Work winner for its high level of employee satisfaction.

In its annual ranking of the Best Places to Work, Crain's New York Business named Rusk Renovations number 42 on its list of 75 honored companies. Honorees were drawn from a diverse set of industries including advertising and marketing, consulting , law and technology.

The ranking of the top 75 employers appears in the Dec. 9 issue of Crain's New York Business and online at crainsnewyork.com/features/best-places-to-work. The winners were recognized at an event held on Dec. 6th in New York City.

"We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work in New York City," said Mary Kocy, Partner of Rusk. "There is a great deal of competition for top employees in New York, particularly in the high end residential market.  We want the best superintendents, the best project managers, the best carpenters, and by focussing on strong benefits, good training programs, promoting from within when possible, and great food at all company meetings (funny but true) we’ve been able to build a great team that has a great time working together. It’s a challenge to be hired here, but it’s resulted in a crew that truly enjoys working together.  The crew’s insight in hiring has been instrumental in building our team.

Jill Kaplan, vice president and publisher of Crain's New York Business, said, "This distinguished group of winners can take pride in the fact that it has the recognition and support of their own employees that earned them this honor in the nation's most competitive business market."

Winners were chosen based on the results of a weighted survey of both employees and employers, conducted by Crain's in partnership with Best Companies Group. It is the sixth consecutive year Crain's has conducted this research to determine the most desirable companies to work for in New York City.
